Bouncing Landers

It’s a tense wait for the Stephan Ulamec and his Rosetta Mission team at the European Space Agency and their Comet lander Philae.

The craft looked to land on the Comet but a glitch caused the harpoons not to fire making it appear to drift off the surface.

The first landing of Philae on Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko took place around 1600 GMT (10:00am Central US) and lies 317 Million Miles from Earth
